"I'm convinced that about half of what separates the successful entrepreneurs from the non-successful ones is pure perseverance" -Steve Jobs
While entrepreneurs may rise from humble beginnings not all of them end that way, the worth of some of world’s most successful entrepreneurs is something to be envied not only by some of the world’s biggest enterprises but even by some countries or royalties. Even though none of the success stories have come easy the sweat and blood is all clouded by the glamour of fortune.
Topping the list of World’s top entrepreneurs is Bill Gates the co-founder and CEO of Microsoft Corporation. Gates not only holds the title of the world’s richest man for the 16 of past 21 years but has running under the mentorship of his wife and himself one of the World’s biggest charitable organisation known as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation . The list is followed by the likes of Carlos Slim who is a telecommunications who made a humble start with a brokerage firm he opened soon after finishing college and now stands at the world’s second richest man. The owner of Spanish fashion brand Zara Amanico Ortega and the co-founder of Oracle Corporation Larry Ellison come in next.
The list of the most successful entrepreneurs continues to grow with Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Amazon.com co-founder Jeff Bezos’ fortune has also literally skyrocketed in the recent years with a bright lookout into the future because it is expected Amazon would be looking into delivering packages using drone technology sooner than later. The list of the world’s richest and the most successful includes many from China where entrepreneurship is on the rise. One of the most impressive success stories from China is that of Jack Ma who founded the Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba.com from his small apartment and after multiple failures has reached to the current status of China’s richest man.
A name that needs mention in the list is that of Mark Zuckerberg the founder and CEO of Facebook who not only proved to be an entrepreneurial success story and made to the list of world’s richest but also is the leader of a youth revolution that has minted 46 billionaires under the age of 40 years. The drastic changes in the computing and the communications industry has completely changed the way things were done in the past. This is led to the success of many young entrepreneurs like 31 year old Elizabeth Holmes –the owner of Theranos which is an online blood testing firm and the 24 year old Evan Speigel co-founder of photo messaging app Snapchat.
