The early to mid twenties is perhaps the time of your life –when college is behind you and the world before you .It also is a critical time when the choices you make now would most likely have a great impact on the rest of your life. Since this is the time where many have not yet joined the workforce , have just graduated or are soon to do so, it also is a period of great learning opportunities .Lessons learnt at this age can help shape the kind of person you become and the decisions you take later in life.

Get out of your comfort zone
…again and again
As they say maximum risk has the potential to give maximum profit , so we advise you to get real world experience. Start businesses, talk to people, ask someone out who is out of your league, go skydiving, become good at small talk and enjoy this time by not taking yourself too seriously.

Become a pro salesperson of yourself
Sales is the basis of all business success- the rule simply goes like anything that sells is successful You are always selling something, even if your role does not include sales in the job description. You even have to sell yourself to the management to persuade them to hire you in the first place
Then you sell during marketing activities, team meetings, conferences, business development, customer service, product management, engineering, user experience and more –sometimes your ideas and sometimes your business plan. A solid foundation in how to sell can give you a wide advantage over your colleagues and competitors.

 Get atleast one thing perfect
Whether it’s your job, photoshop, singing, dancing, cooking, or any form of art, so that if the worst happens, and you get kicked out of your job and have no alternate support system , you can still survive and earn your livelihood by freelancing. A they say , if you are good at something never do it for free and who knows it might come in handy if you ever need a career change.

Build a network that strengthens you

Everyone needs a ‘advocate network’ of people we can rely on to potentially expose us to new opportunities, people, and ideas that can further our career. Do good for other people by creating value for them, rather than just meeting them and get return favors. Your networking success comes not by how many important people you’ve met, but by how many important people you’ve helped. Someday it’s going to be you getting the help.

Invest in personal growth
Stop fooling around and give up lazy activities like television and social media and get into the driving seat of your life. Read as many books as you can, go to seminars learn about real experience and meet people. Always increase your value make sensible investments in yourself , because we get paid about our value and for what we bring to the table. It’s simple :be more valuable … get paid better.
