Wiring eBay in to Pakistan

Ebay, the website used by millions of people around the world, but it is still non-existent in Pakistan, why? Dave Wenig, the CEO of eBay answers this question and has passed his statement on whether the website is open for users in Pakistan or not. While having a live Facebook session on the page of World Economic Forum (WEF) the website’s CEO was questioned about his thoughts on emerging new markets and e-commerce in Pakistan, giving an answer he said “Pakistan is amongst the fastest growing e-commerce markets”. While passing this statement he was asked why there wasn’t a local version of eBay in Pakistan, to this he encouraged users to shop from Pakistan through different eBay websites, and the products and services would be delivered to customers in Pakistan.

Furthermore the head honcho said that the perfect opportunity for e-commerce was in countries where people were growing in wealth, but had no access to any goods or services. David Wenig believes that the course of e-commerce will hit $1 billion by the year 2020, which will have a huge impact on the economy of Pakistan, but for now, let’s hope that Mr.Wenig makes it easier for customers to place their orders on eBay and receive them without any difficulty in the near future.
